You can’t rush perfection. Producing fine wine requires time and patience. Living up to the high standards of wine making and excellence is Ste. Michelle, Washington State’s oldest and most acclaimed winery. Each year, Ste. Michelle produces a special signature vintage for its Ste. Michelle Winery Artist Series. This year that artist is Eva Isaksen.

The three wine bottle custom packaging required a uniquely creative approach to capture the essence of Eva’s art. Because the artist works with many layers, a specific design technique was implemented to create a similar layered effect on the wine's packaging. Several shades of black were used to generate a pattern on pattern with gloss UV applied to highlight the areas with the heaviest coverage. Eva’s colorful canvas images are revealed on the recessed cuff and serve as a bright contrast to the otherwise monochromatic wine box.

Made of thick, rigid board covered by a black wood-free paper with underlying fabric on the hinges to reinforce the folds, the lid opens with a gentle tug on the ribbon pull. When lifted, the magnetic three-paneled lid wraps up and over the top of the box, unfolding in segments to reveal the 3 bottles inside.

Softly cradling the bottles is black EVA high quality dense foam that feels luxurious and silky to the touch. The black color of the foam blends seamlessly into the inside of the box showcasing the artist’s labels.
